Mum rinsed for giving her son a hippy-style name which has a 'ghost letter' & trolls say he’ll be ‘bullied for life’ | The Sun

PICKING the perfect name for your little one is a lot of responsibility.

Most parents want something a bit unique, but not so different that they'll get bullied growing up.

This mum might've missed the mark when she picked a hippy-style name for her son though, and trolls say he'll be bullied for life.

The name was shared on a popular Facebook group after someone met the tot and his mum and was stunned by his name.

They slammed: "Just met an 'Aether' pronounced as 'Feather' WITH the F. His mom said it was a ghost letter."

People couldn't wrap their heads around the idea of a "ghost letter" and rinsed her for choosing such a strange name.

One said: "Alright we can all go home, this is the worst name ever."

A second agreed: "She needs to go back to school and learn basic phonics."

"That's not a thing, that's not how any of this works. People need to stop naming their kids after dogs and anime and video game characters.

"Someday that boy will have to spend a lot of money to change his name. It sounds to me like his mother wanted him beat up on the playground," another commented.

Someone else joked: "'Noying. The A is a ghost letter."

"I've had to read the post twice till by brain accepted that someone really named their child with a "ghost" letter," slammed another.

Meanwhile, other parents chimed in to rinse the mum for not thinking of her son's school life with the name.

"Honestly she should know better than to give him a name like that, poor kid," one commented.

Another said: "Aether would have been weird but I would absolutely take it over Feather. That poor kid. Imagine having to explain a ghost letter your whole life."
