A MUM has been praised after sharing a terrifying warning to other parents about how quickly drownings can happen.

Sierra was sitting poolside with her baby girl, who was happily splashing in the water with her hand, when the tot suddenly fell in.

"Drownings are silent and can happen in a split second," she wrote over her TikTok video.

"She didn't even make a noise."

Sierra captioned her video: "I was holding her the whole time before you @ me.
