A CLEANING pro has shared the bleach alternative that banished mold from her shower for good.

She said the homemade solution proved to be just as good as bleach if not better.

Allison (@allisonscleanin) shared the cleaning hack with over 1.1 million TikTok followers.

She explained that despite the mold in her shower, she hesitated to use bleach on the area.

"I don't want to use bleach on it because it's fiberglass," she said.

She held up a bottle holding her own concoction instead: "In this, I have 1:1 hydrogen peroxide with water, peroxide is amazing," she said.

"Bleach will get rid of mold but mold will come back, peroxide will just eliminate it."

She splashed the pink mold with the solution: "Peroxide is a great alternative if you don't like bleach or if you can't use bleach somewhere," she explained.

Allison raved about the solution as it fizzled in her shower: "You can instantly see it foaming up and no more mold."

"Bye bye mold, I'd say that's absolutely gorgeous baby."

People took to the comments to share their thoughts, including a registered nurse.

"RN here! That’s not mold it’s actually a bacteria called Serratia marcescens. Relatively harmless but should be cleaned up when it starts to show," said one commenter.

Despite the mistake, Allison stood by her cleaning hack: "I knew it had a fancy name! So either way bacteria or mold this peroxide mix works," she said.

"Yes, hydrogen peroxide will definitely kill it!" agreed the nurse.
