My parents let me build a tiny home on their property to live in while I was at school – trolls say I 'must be poor' | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed the common misconception people have about those who live in a tiny house.

McKean Matson (@McKeanMatson) has racked up over 90,000 followers on TikTok with posts about projects at her tiny home in Texas.

She took to the social media platform to reveal that her parents let her build a tiny house on their property while she was still in school.

“My parents are the BEST,” McKean said as Britney Spears’ song ‘Lucky’ played in the background.

She proudly gushes on TikTok about being grateful to live close to her family in her own space.

However, McKean claims other people have made assumptions about why she lives in a tiny house.

“You live in a tiny house? So you must be poor,” read the text over one video.

“Shut the f**k up,” she lip synced as a phrase from Paramount’s Yellowstone played.

“Tiny houses are not always cheap #TinyLiving #Yellowstone #TinyHouse #TinyHome,” she added in the caption.

Despite having revealed that she gets unwanted comments about her tiny house, McKean has inspired her followers to build their own.
