My partner surprised the kids with his Christmas costume - I thought it was hilarious but trolls say it’s cruel

A WOMAN has shared a video of her partner bursting into the house to surprise their children while dressed as The Grinch.

However, while the mum thought the prank was hilarious and couldn’t wait to share the clip she’d recorded online, trolls have blasted it as ‘cruel’.

TikTok user Meggs, who has a profile under the name @meggers.1, showed how she and the kids were sitting on the sofa watching TV.

All of a sudden, her partner, dressed head to toe as the furry green Christmas character, came stumbling through the door.

As the kids jumped, some of them began to scream, while he went straight for the presents under the Christmas tree.

He then left with some of the gifts under his arm, as one of the children appeared to start to cry.

The video soon went viral, racking up over 2.3 million likes.

However, it totally split opinion.

On one hand, trolls said it was unkind and some even described the scenario as their “worst nightmare” and “cruel”.

But others saw the funny side in the situation and said it had made them laugh out loud.
