However, Clare has just the trick to make life a lot easier and it means you’re not spending a lot of time doing it. 

Taking to TikTok, she demonstrated her hack to show her followers exactly how it’s done. 

She says: “If you curl in your Christmas tree lights you are doing it wrong.

“Decorating Christmas trees used to be part of my job.

“We use the zigzag method it means you don't waste lights around the back of your tree and if a set breaks you can take them off really easily.”

The video attracted over 284k likes, with thousands rushing to the comment section to share their thoughts. 

One asked: “Would this work this tinsel? I have a hassle every year.”

Clare replied: “Yeah just stuff the wires in and then pop your tinsel on top.” 

Another said: “I do this… It's so much easier and if you don't have much lights, you can make it be enough..”

Someone else said: “Perfect. This is what I’m going to do this Christmas.” 

This isn’t the only Christmas decorating hack. 

Previously experts at Pines and Needles have revealed some tips and tricks to look after your Christmas tree. 

Christmas expert Veronika revealed one of the best hacks for maintaining your Christmas tree, is to place it in plain water.
