People are just realising there’s a right way your buttons should go on a duvet and it's blowing their minds | The Sun

PEOPLE have been left mind-blown after discovering there's a correct way to do up the buttons on a duvet cover.

While some duvet covers come with poppers to do them up, others have buttons on one side, and button holes on the other.

And despite the fact that the majority of people simply push the buttons through the hole – so that the button is visible on the top – it turns out that's not the correct way to do it.

Paige took to TikTok to share a video demonstrating, over the top of which she wrote: "I was today years old when I realised what side the buttons go on the duvet cover."

In the clip, she began by showing the duvet cover buttoned up the way most people do it – with the buttons visible.

But Paige then moved over to the other side of the duvet cover, where she'd buttoned them "correctly", so that the buttons were completely hidden.

To do the correct method, simply take the button and insert it through the hole from the top.

This means that the button will be concealed by the edge of the cover.

"FML (f**k my life)," she wrote in the video caption.

However, Paige quickly discovered that she's certainly not the only one to have been buttoning up the covers incorrectly.
