HAVE you been struggling to get bread as people stockpile loaves during the coronavirus outbreak?
Chef and baker Brandon Johnson has shared his delicious-looking recipe for flatbread, and it only uses three ingredients.

All you need for the simple recipe is flour, butter (or oil if this is all you can access), and baking powder.
You will also need water and a teaspoon of salt, which many people already have in their homes.
Brandon, from South Dakota, said his family lived off the recipe when they were poor and added: “Bread shortage? This is the easiest kind of bread you can make.
“Costs pennies and can get you through these strange times, my family lived off these when the pickings were slim.”
RECIPE FOR NAVAJO FLATBREAD, FOR SIX
- 2 cups flour
- 1 – 1 1/4cup of water
- 1 table spoon baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 table spoon oil/butter
Mix dry ingredients together and add most of the water
Add the rest of the water slowly while mixing, until ingredients have the consistency of tacky pizza dough
Knead for a few minutes
Leave in a greased bowl for 30- 60 minutes
Divide into 6 pieces and roll out to tortilla thickness on a floured surface
Heat pan to 180°C
Cook until golden brown spots form
Flip and cook the other side
First you need to mix all of the dry ingredients, and add most of the water.
Then slowly add extra water while continuing to mix, until the ingredients have the consistency of tacky pizza dough.
Knead the dough for a few minutes, before leaving in a greased bowl for 30-60 minutes.
Then divide up into six pieces, and roll out thin on a floured surface until it resembles the thickness of tortilla.
Next, heat a pan to 180C, and cook until golden brown spots emerge.
Flip and then cook on the other side, before removing.

You can then freeze it for a later date, or tuck in when it is still warm.
