FOR those of you that regularly buy milk and then throw your bottle in the recycle bin when you are finished, we’ve got something just for you.

It turns out that there’s a really simple way that you can roll up a milk bottle and it will save so much space in your recycling bin.

So if your bin is constantly overflowing every week, here’s a hack that you must try.

One man took to TikTok to share his clever technique and it’s left people stunned. 

Known on TikTok as ‘sidneyraz’, the social media user regularly shares videos showing off the tips and tricks that he has learnt.

In one of his recent videos, the man reveals how to easily roll up a milk bottle in a matter of seconds.

He said: “Here’s something I didn’t know until I was in my 30s. 

“You can easily roll up a milk jug if you put hot water in it”.

In the video, we see the man filling up his milk bottle with hot water.

Then, just seconds later, he proceeds to attempt to roll up the bottle from the bottom.

The water of course spills out, but the bottle is easily foldable.

TikTok users were left open-mouthed at the revelation and one social media star, Kyran Nijjar, who has 6.4million followers and 221.4million likes on the video sharing platform, did a duet of the video, as he demonstrated how to do the hack.

Kyran was particularly stunned at the hack and couldn’t believe that not only he hadn’t realised sooner, but also how much space it would save him in his bin.

Kyran uploaded his duet video with the caption ‘This is a life saver’.

He said: “Do you know how much bin space this is going to save me if it works?” 

“Apparently we just fill it up with hot water and then we just squeeze and roll”.

Kyran then demonstrates the method and is left in shock that it works.

He continued: “Oh my god, no way.

“Look how well it’s scrunched up as well – do you know how much bin space this will save me? 

“As if I’m only finding out about that now”. 

His video has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 959.6k views, in just one day.

It has 90k likes, 599 comments and 4,810 shares.

TikTok users were left stunned that they had only just found out about this very clever hack. 

One person said: “So much bin space saved”. 

Another added: “Great advice, thanks!” 

A third commented: “This works for all plastic bottles. I tend to collect them until I'm making a cuppa and use the boiling water from the kettle. Saves a few pennies”. 

Meanwhile, someone else was in shock: “What…. no way”. 

However, other TikTok users revealed that they have known about the hack for a long time and thought it was common knowledge. 

One user claimed: “I thought everybody knew this”.
