IT'S one of those magical moments most people only get to experience once, but for one man he's big proposal didn't turn out quite the way he imagined.
Despite planning the perfect proposal, his mum's technical blunder meant it wasn't captured on camera.
The groom's mum filmed the proposal, but accidentally turned the camera to face herself while recording.
The clip was shared on TikTok by her daughter-in-law, Jennifer (@_jennyy4) who didn't seem to mind the slight hiccup.
"Pov: your bf gives his mom the phone to record the proposal," she captioned the funny video.
The video shows the couple taking part in a viral TikTok trend where users slap each others hands before posing to a song.

But instead of posing, Jennifer's partner got down on one knee to pop the question in front of a scenic fountain in Italy’s Saint Peter’s Square.
Then the camera suddenly flipped to show the future groom's mum.
The unfortunate blunder happened just as her son got one one knee, so the entire proposal was missed and the video instead shows her trying to work out how to change to camera back.
After it was shared on social media peoplewere left in hysterics over the ordeal.

“The panic in her face,” one joked.
“The gulp at the end when she realized,” a second commented.
But not everyone was so forgiving, with some people saying they'd be annoyed if they're once-in-a-lifetime moment was missed.
“Id be mad,” one person quipped, with a crying emoji.
“I know she’s innocent, but this just made me so mad lol,” another commented.
And someone else slammed: “She had one job.”
Jennifer cleared everything up, and assured people there no hard feelings.
In the caption of the now viral post she said: “She was trying her best!!"
Luckily, the groom's mum wasn't the only person recording the big proposal, so they couple had another video they could cherish instead.
“His dad was recording the whole thing!” Jennifer clarified in another clip.
This isn't the only time a proposal didn't go to plan, back in 2020 a bloke planned a romantic proposal for his girlfriend that all went disastrously wrong.
His romantic gesture caused his flat to burn down before he even got to pop the question.
The man spelled out the words "Marry Me?" with tea lights, had a bottle of Chianti waiting for them, and a romantic playlist playing.
