A TRENDY mom in her fifties is encouraging women in midlife to dress however they want regardless of their age.

She argued times have changed and it’s now acceptable for women over 50 to embrace any fashion trend.

Jenn Reed (@thejennreed) boasts over 69,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares makeup and fitness tips for mature women.

She took to the social media platform to champion age positivity while hitting back at critics who expect midlife women to look dowdy. 

She donned a stylish pair of high-waist gray shorts with a coordinating crop top and a cap worn backward.

“When people say women over 50 shouldn’t wear crop tops…” read the text over the video.

“Or have long hair, or can’t be sexy.” 

Jenn looked carefree as she smiled and waved her arms in the air while dancing around her house to the hit song Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae.

The lyrics sang: “La, la, la, whatever. La, la, la, it doesn't matter

She suddenly looked serious and lip-synced “b***h you better be joking” as she revealed the unsolicited opinion that annoys her the most.

She placed her hands on her hips and looked directly at the camera. 

“But don’t you dare say 51 is too old to wear my hat backward!” read the text over the video.

Jenn captioned the video: “It’s time to wake up and realize 50 today ain’t 50 of yesteryear. If it makes you happy, do it!

“What’s an ageist stereotype you love breaking?”

The video went viral with over 16,000 views and hundreds of likes from people who were grateful that she was championing aging.

Many people took to the comment section encouraging Jenn to continue being herself regardless of critics.
