YOU could easily spend thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, on the "perfect" wedding day.
But one woman has proved that a wedding doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg, after her big day set her back just £700.
And she and her new husband didn't have to scrimp on their nuptials either, as they invited 40 people to join them in the evening.
"Just really a post to say a perfect wedding day doesn’t have to cost a fortune," Gemmah Carvell wrote on Facebook.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our low-key celebration with 40 evening guests at a cost of £700 all in."
She then went on to list some of the costs for the day, including her dress – which set her back just £54 from eBay – and her bouquet which was only £10.

Her husband's suit cost £33, the dresses for her flower girl daughters were £8 each from Wish and her pageboy son's suit was £12.
Even the rings were reasonable, costing the couple just £80.
They also didn't pay for a wedding photographer, choosing instead to take pictures on their mobile phones,
"Our pictures were taken in a local park that we frequently use and have since the children were born, so it's really special to us," Gemmah told us.

To save even more money, and add another special touch to their nuptials, the newlyweds enlisted Gemmah's mother to make their wedding cake and her aunt to decorate it.
Food wise they went for a buffet which cost £5 a head, and included sandwiches, pies, quiche, samosas, bhajis and salad.
The reception was held in a local pub, which they didn't have to pay for, and they took their own decor to put on the tables, as well as hiring a DJ to provide some music for the evening entertainment.

"It was just perfect for us, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing," Gemmah smiled.
"It really goes to show it’s not what you spend, but who you spend it with."
