A POLE-DANCING mum was left in floods of tears after she was offered the chance of a lifetime by a positive-thinking, business-coaching couple.

In the latest episode of Channel 5’s inspirational Rich House, Poor House, viewers watched as Bristol based Tash Burrows and her delivery driver husband Ant swapped lives with wealthy couple Andrea and Matt Callanan from Cardiff.

Tash and Ant, who are proud parents to Kaela, twelve, and Tate, six, left behind their former council house and travelled 40 minutes to the Callanan’s home in their affluent area.

There, they threw themselves into life in the Callanan’s large five-bedroom Victorian home, as well as their whopping £1200 budget per week, which Tash admitted she was “blown away” by.

This was a far cry from the humble £71 they were used to stretching– something that came as a big shock to self-confessed hippies and life and business coaches Andrea and Matt, who parent two sons, including Alby, seven, together.

Over the next seven days, Tash and Ant, who dreams of starting a gaming podcast, spent time doing activities that are a far cry from their usual day-to-day – from tucking into lobster on date nights to a glam photo shoot.

Rich House, Poor House mum reveals lifestyle U-turn after millionaire’s help

Meanwhile, former struggling single mum Andrea, who has a passion for helping other women in business, and Matt, who teaches a podcasting course, got a taste of the Burrows’ life.

They discovered their spiralling debts and how both Tash and Ant worked tirelessly to help them out of their hole, while also trying to balance family life and improve their home.

Matt and I are going to be on hand for you as a couple

But it was when Andrea discovered how Tash had started pole-dancing lessons to help combat post-natal depression that things took a different direction.

Andrea heard from Tash’s best friend how she had bought a small studio where she could teach others – but she was majorly struggling to break even before signing up to the show.

Andrea soon realised that Tash – who also upcycled glasses for extra money – needed some further guidance on to make her pole dancing business reach new heights.

So when the two couples came face to face for the very first time, Andrea and Matt had a special surprise up their sleeves for Tash, as well as Ant.

Andrea told them: “We’ve come up with a little package, if you’d like some help.

“What I’d like to do is help you with your business, first and foremost, and then I’d really like to help you with your mindsets.

“That package for the two of you is worth £30,000 and on top of that, Matt and I are going to be on hand for you as a couple.”

Matt added: “Once we get your mindset sorted, then we can talk about storytelling and doing podcasts.”

Both Tash and Ant broke down in tears as they took in the news and said how grateful they were to have been offered the opportunity.

Tash later described Rich House, Poor House as the “best week” of her life as they both agreed it was a major “turning point” for their family.

It’s been a good adventure

Meanwhile, Andrea and Matt both agreed that walking in the Burrows’ shoes had encouraged them to spend more time together as a family of three.

Matt said: “It’s been a really interesting week, I’ve loved it. It’s been a good adventure.”
