Prince Harry looked like a sulking toddler at Beyonce and a giddy schoolboy watching Messi… how must Meghan feel? | The Sun

THEY had the best seats in the house for the hottest ticket in town, but Prince Harry couldn’t have looked more miserable.

While his wife Meghan, mother-in-law Doria Ragland and a bunch of other women were jumping around on Friday night at Beyonce’s Renaissance world tour show in California, Harry’s mind was clearly elsewhere.

At one point, the dejected-looking prince stood flicking through his phone, as if completely disinterested in the fun around him.

Roll on 48 hours when Harry is at the football on his own and he's joyous, behaving like a baby presented with ice cream.

He was like a giddy schoolboy. So what changed?

My first thought was, can he really hate Beyonce this much?

He looked like he’d been dragged along, like a reluctant dad at a kids’ party.

It’s a bit of a mystery, but to me, he looked like a man in a deep funk. Harry looked lost, out of place and isolated.

The once fun-loving party prince our country fell in love with didn’t dance much, rarely lifting his hands out of his pockets.

Meanwhile, Meghan, along with her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, danced to Beyonce’s song DIVA, running her hands through her hair and gyrating her hips in her sparkly mini-skirt.

It has raised a fair few eyebrows – a Duchess twerking is not very royal after all – but at least she looked like she was having a good time, seemingly enjoying life as a non-working member of the Firm.

But something certainly seems off with Harry.

'Vulnerable' prince

Harry is very vulnerable at the moment, and I suspect something has happened that made him feel and appear fed-up. And it’s terribly sad to see.

To me, on Friday night, he looked like a man who hasn’t got the life he expected.

He’s cut himself off from his English friends and trusted advisers.

His latest documentary on the Invictus Games –  part of the Sussexes' £80million deal with Netflix – hasn’t done as well as expected, failing to hit its Top 10 streaming charts in the UK or the US.

He and his wife are seldom seen together, with Meghan appearing to want to move back into public life, and the couple also have very different ideas on parenting.

Harry has been very affected by his public upbringing, which has made him obsess over the security and privacy of his children.

Meanwhile, Meghan wants to raise Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, openly in California. There is an obvious clash.

High emotion

Harry looked a lot happier watching Lionel Messi last night.

With Meghan and Doria he was letting everyone know he can't bare it, like he was dragged along.

Then on the other hand, when he's doing what he wants, he's over excited like a child with a new toy.

He seemingly walked into the Beyonce concert with his problems weighing him down… and they never left the room.

Most concerningly, the image-conscious prince doesn’t even try to hide what he feels nowadays.
