Prince William and Kate Middleton have big parenting rules for their kids including banned items of clothing | The Sun

WHEN out in public, Prince William and Kate Middleton always look prim and proper, but back at home, the Royal couple like to enjoy a more relaxed way of life.

So much so that the new Prince and Princess of Wales have put some strict rules in place when it comes to trying to keep their kids’ lives as normal as possible.

According to reports, heir to the throne Prince William has issued a strict order to Royal staff members that whenever they visit, they must dress casually.

This is so home life doesn’t feel too “stuffy” for his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The 40-year-old has also reportedly put a blanket ban on anyone wearing suits when they step foot inside their home.

This supposedly came about after their ‘casual Friday’ dress code, which ended up taking over the rest of the week.

“Staff are encouraged to dress casually unless they have an important meeting.”

Rumours of these rules first emerged after Valentine Low’s book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown.

In it, Low lifts the lid on what it’s really like in the Royal residencies, according to the Courtiers who work there.

In one segment, Low says that one member of the Royal household gave all the details, as they said: “The kids run around the office, and William does not want it to be stuffy.”

They added that William had stressed the importance of this because “this is where my family lives.”

However, there are some occasions when William’s wishes are not possible.

They continued: “If we have important meetings, or are going to Buckingham Palace, then of course we [wear suits].”

After hearing more about William and Kate’s parenting style, Royal fans praised the couple.

One wrote on the Heart video: “I ADORE William and Catherine and I appreciate their parenting.
