Queen Letizia, 50, and King Felipe, 54, received the President and First Lady of the Republic of Paraguay today, before a lunch, at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. Before the lunch, the President met with the King and the President of the Executive.
Among other activities, Mario Abdo will participate in the Spain-Paraguay Business Meeting organised by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE).
For today’s occasion, Queen Letizia wore a Carolina Herrera dress that Infanta Sofía had already worn.
Sofia wore the dress last year to congratulate the winners at the Reconquista Hotel during the ‘Princesa De Asturias’ Awards 2021.
The dress is a white printed chiffon Carolina Herrera dress and looked stunning on both royal women.

According to the Carolina Herrera website, the gown is a: “Printed silk chiffon dress with contrasting small dots. Crew neck with tear drop and button fastening at the back.
“Long puffed sleeves with pleated detail and shirt cuffs. Pleated detail in the chest and midi length skirt. The inner lining and invisible zip fastening on the side.”
It is a flowing dress, with discreet black polka dots, drawstrings at the top and a flared skirt at knee level. The slightly sheer, puffed sleeves with marked cuffs, together with a belt tied to one side, finished in a bow, add femininity to this creation by the Venezuelan designer.
Unfortunately, the dress is now sold out, meaning it is unclear how much this garment cost at the time.
Back in 2021, Sofia paired her designer dress with some black Martinelli ‘Vivien’ Ballet Flats.
These are still in stock for just £76.96, which has gone down in price from their original cost – £109.95.
In contrast, Queen Letizia wore Magrit stilettos made of crocodile-effect leather, with a built-in platform and lacing.
In recent months, we have seen Queen Letizia wearing clothes that her other daughter, Leonor had previously worn.
This is the case of the printed design of Dándara, which the Princess wore on a family outing at the Teatros del Canal and then her mother later wore in an engagement with Unicef.
In addition, Leonor wore a white blouse from & Other Stories which she debuted for a visit to an institute, and a few months later the Queen wore that same blouse at the opening of a hospital in Guadalajara.
As for her jewellery, Queen Letizia wore her Australian pearl, diamond and white gold earrings. She has had these in her jewellery box since 2005 and she has worn them on important occasions such as the baptisms of her daughters.
Sometimes, she usually wears only the top part -without the pearls – but on this occasion, as happened last week in Oviedo at the Reconquista hotel, she has opted for the full version of her earrings.
She also wore her iconic gold Karen Hallam ring, which she is hardly seen without.
Queen Letizia often chooses not to wear any other rings, which allows the jewellery piece to stand out.
The gold-plated sterling silver ring is from Karen Hallam, a Spanish brand set up by a designer originally from London.
The ‘Signature Ring’ as it is known, is sold from anywhere from £93 to £724, depending on the size of ring you purchase.
