Queen Maxima of The Netherlands, 51, attended Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral on Monday with her husband King Willem-Alexander. The royal donned a beautiful black coat dress for the occasion.

Maxima also appeared to accessorise with a silver brooch.

The brooch was a circular silver jewel with a pearl below it.

Maxima paired her coat dress with black gloves and a black hat.

The hat also featured a veil to cover a bit of the royal’s hair.

Veils are popular among royal women for today’s solemn occasion.

Everyone from Kate Middleton to Charlene, Princess of Monaco seems to be wearing a veil.
