Savvy mums flock to Home Bargains to snap up a kids' paddling pool for less than a fiver | The Sun

THE heatwave shows no sign of coming to an end anytime soon.

And one of the best ways to cool kids down in the warm weather is with a paddling pool – but the downside is that they can be expensive.

So it's no wonder parents are flocking to Home Bargains after spotting a plastic paddling pool on sale for less than a fiver.

Rachael took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share a snap of the shell-shaped pools, available in blue or pink.

"Plastic paddling pools!" she wrote.

"£4.99 Home Bargains."

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: "I got one yesterday from argos, wasn't this cheap though."

As another mum had a brilliant idea for her two kids, adding: "Could do sand in 1 water in the other.

"Or fill them both with water/sand and they can have their own."

Others had ideas for alternative uses for the pools – with many commenting that they're the perfect size for their pets.

"I use one of these in my wet room bathroom as a bath for my little boy," another mum laughed.

"These would be good for outdoor sensory play!" a third commented.

While someone else suggested it could work as somewhere to wash feet before going into a hot tub or larger pool.
