PRINCE Harry has a "secret plan" behind the release of his explosive new memoir, a royal expert has claimed.

But the publication date – January 10 – could cause a clash with another senior royal.

Royal author Angela Levin pointed out that Princess Kate's birthday is January 9, the day before the book hits shelves.

But the clash is unlikely to faze the "grown up" Princess of Wales, Angela stressed.

Publishers this morning revealed the Duke of Sussex's long-awaited biography has been named "Spare"and will be released on January 10.

Angela feels the date Harry has chosen to unleash his next "truth bomb" marks a celebration of their third year away from the Firm.

She said: "There's a plan to almost everything they do. 

"There's words that have a second meaning, dates that have a second meaning.

"I'm quite sure that there's a plot there. I'm quite sure it's a celebration of their third anniversary away from the Royal Family.

"Everything they do is intentional.

"I think that they wouldn't want it to come out just before Christmas because it's very negative, perhaps. People won't want to buy it.

"After Christmas in January there is sometimes an uplift in people buying books.

"I think maybe they think: 'Lets start fresh in January.'

"I think it would be something Harry would be pleased to have done.

"Written about himself as he sees himself, and as he sees things that have happened to him.

"Maybe he feels that would have been cathartic in some way.

"And if it ties in with them leaving the Royal Family then it can be a double celebration.

"But then they can't try and come back. They can't try and hang on to their titles. It's so hypocritical. If they want to go away, enjoy yourself. Celebrate every year that you've left the Royal Family.

"Don't expect to be included in anything."

She said the palace will be nervously awaiting the January 10 publication date.

"I think the Palace are on tenterhooks," she added.

"They have lawyers ready to read it but they won't see it until it's out.

"If it's too bland it won't be worth the millions they've already paid him."

Spare, the title of Harry's new book, likely refers to "the heir and the spare", a saying used to describe Harry and his brother and future King, William.

Harry – who has already received half of a £35million payout for his book – will read the audiobook version himself.

Publisher Penguin Random House's description reads: "With its raw, unflinching honesty, Spare is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.

The duke has donated around £1.2m of the book's proceeds to his charity Sentebale which supports children and young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana.
