The button popped on my shorts when I arrived to host an event, it was so bad but I styled it out | The Sun

A STYLE-SAVVY woman has shared the mortifying moment that she suffered a wardrobe malfunction in public.

She had just arrived at the fashionable event that she was set to host when the unexpected happened.

Holland Smith Paterno (@hollandpaterno) has garnered over 136,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares outfit inspiration.

She took to the social media platform to reveal she experienced an embarrassing fashion failure.

“I just hosted an event and had a wardrobe malfunction right when I arrived at the event,” she said.

“My button popped on my shorts, it’s so bad.”

Holland explained that she had to restyle her outfit after the metal clip on her shorts came off.

She was forced to wear the coordinating yellow blazer done up and put the metal clip in her pocket.

Luckily, the shorts were able to stay up without the fastening and she still looked chic in the outfit teamed with a white top.

“I just decided to close the jacket and move on with the night,” she said.

Despite the faulty fastening on the shorts, viewers were not put off buying the yellow co-ord and took to the comment section asking where she bought it.

One person wrote: “It looks cute buttoned!”

Another said: “Not sure if it’s worth the quality but it’s so cute, so where is it from?”

A third quipped: “Uh oh!”

A fourth added: “Can you link this outfit? I need this!”

The 5’4 fashionista didn’t reply to the flood of commenters requesting details about the outfit.
