IT'S one of the most daunting areas in a soft play centre.

And one woman found herself learning the hard way that the elastic tower isn't to be messed with.

A video of the mortifying moment showed the woman attempting to gingerly lower herself onto the top layer of elastic straps – arranged like a spider's web for children to climb through.

However, her body weight appeared to be too much for the webbing to manage.

And instead of it stopping her before she climbed down to the next level, she ended up falling through all the elastic levels, before crashing at the bottom.

To make matters even worse, she caught her trousers on one of the elastic strips near the end of the tower – meaning that they ended up down by her knees by the time she eventually hit the crash mat.

The person videoing the extraordinary sight could be heard laughing hysterically while watching the woman, who looked red-faced as she hurriedly attempted to pull her trousers back up.

The woman filming also reassured viewers that her friend was okay after the incident, as she wrote: "You can hear her laugh!"

People were quick to weigh in on the unfortunate blunder, with one person commenting on the Instagram video: "Those bands undressed you; violation."

And others admitted they'd been left in hysterics by the clip.

"Jesus, it took her pants clean off," someone else giggled.

As another said: "Literally would have to give me a change of clothes from peeing myself!"

Others were left concerned after spotting a small dark object that fell onto the mat just before the woman did.

While some speculated that she'd had an accident due to the stress of the fall, others insisted it was either a car key or a phone.

"I think it’s their phone," one wrote.
