A PLANT specialist has revealed the three houseplants that will reduce moisture in your bathroom.

So if you’ve got condensation and mould in your bathroom, and have tried every cleaning trick possible to get rid of it, you’ve come to the right place.



Especially if you can’t afford to splash the cash on a dehumidifier, or have tried the baking soda and salt hacks, you’ll need to pay attention.

Sharing the advice on social media, an account named Root Growings revealed the plants you must check out – including the ‘humidity hero’ that’s great for damp.

The gardening guru explained: “Three houseplants to absorb moisture in [your] bathroom. 

“Discover the magic of Boston Fern, English Ivy, and Peace Lily as we explore how these houseplants turn your bathroom into a lush sanctuary, reducing moisture, and adding a touch of greenery!”

The plant expert revealed the first plant, which is suitable for those with pets, as he said: “First up, we have the Boston fern. This luscious, feathery fern is not only a visual treat, but also a humidity hero. 

“Placing a Boston fern in your bathroom can significantly reduce moisture levels, creating a more comfortable environment.”

The next plant isn’t one for those with pets, but is great for combating humidity, as the pro continued: “Next on our moisture busting list is English Ivy.

“Known for its trailing vines and elegant leaves, English Ivy is an excellent choice for bathrooms.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @rootgrowings, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 724,600 views in just 14 hours. 

Social media users were thankful for the advice and were keen to express this in the comments.
