Many viewers were desperate to know whether or not Darcy’s hack actually worked.

Well, lemons have a peculiar smell owing to their citric acid properties, which can bring instant relief to a queasy stomach.

But it is recommended that you actually consume the lemon while travelling to help with motion sickness.

You can or suck on a lemon wedge throughout your journey.

Another idea is to squeeze lemon juice into water, mix in a drop of honey and sip it as you travel.

The NHS advises you to take tablets, patches or acupressure bands to help with motion sickness.
