A WOMAN has shared a quick and easy way to make your ponytail more flattering – and it's all about the direction you brush your hair in.
Megan took to her TikTok page to demonstrate the hack, explaining that brushing the locks downwards ends up dragging the face down as well.
"You are not ugly, you’re just doing your ponytail wrong," she began.
"Let me teach you the difference between down brushing and up brushing.
"I swear it’s going to change the game.
"Down brushing is when you comb your hair down into a ponytail, and up brushing is when you comb it up."

She then showed what she meant, starting with the down brushing.
"I’m starting at the top of the head and I’m literally brushing down towards the nape of my neck," she explained.
"This is what it looks like from the side and from the front.
"Because it’s being brushed down, it’s pulling my face down with it."

She then showed what the ponytail looks like when she brushes the hair up.
"Instead of starting at the top of the head, we’re going to start at the nape of the neck and brush up," she said.
"Continue to brush up through the side and make your way to the top of the head, constantly thinking up, up, up.
"And then obviously switch to the other side and do the same.
"Tighten your pony immediately – notice how the line is pulling up the crown of the head.
"The hair is going up instead of down, pulling my eyebrows, cheekbones… everything is lifted.
"It enhances your face more than dragging it down."
Megan concluded by adding: "I promise this is going to change the ponytail game."
"This is the content we need in 2023," one person commented on the video.
