A WOMAN who managed to pick up nearly 50 gardening sets that had been reduced to just 1p in Sainsbury's has left fellow bargain-hunters stunned.

Angela Cox took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her daughter's amazing haul of what appeared to be around 45 gardening sets and items.

"My daughter managed to grab these in the 1p Sainsbury's sale (she's too scared to post herself)," Angela wrote.

"She did get an email cancelling but then got a phone call to ask why she hasn't collected.

"Fingers crossed to all of you who ordered!"

In the comments section, some praised the woman for her haul, while others admitted they're hoping their own orders don't get cancelled.

In fact, some of them revealed they've placed staggering orders with the supermarket online.

"I ordered and have a collection tomorrow," one person wrote.

"However I don’t know how sainsbury's works as never ordered before.

"I did order 217 items though! 1p deal. I wanted to donate some but we shall see."

"I got a phone call cancelling but no email cancelling," someone else revealed.

While another wrote: "I tried to order these and it wouldn't let me. I wanted to get some for my nursery totally gutted."
