YOU might have 20/20 vision if you can spot the hidden shark heading to shore in less than 10 seconds.

Only those with eyes of a hawk will be able to solve this mind-blowing optical illusion.

This brain teaser caused a stir online with users left spooked when realising the macabre find.

Facebook user Linton Allen shared the astonishing picture online.

He was on a day walk at City Beach in Perth, Australia when he took the snap.

But he was left baffled when he went back home only to realise there was something sinister.

"Just got home and checked my photos from City Beach at lunch today and saw the shadow in the wave," Mr Linton posted.

He promises you can find a predator in the image, only if you look closely.

Allen dared his followers to find the lurking animal hidden in the wave.

Speedy users where left stumped as they scan the image only to realise there is a shark hidden in the water.

The pic was shared on the Dorsal Perth Shark Reports page and followers gave the optical illusion a go as they commented.

Someone said: "That is way too close to shore for my liking!"

Another said: "Looks like a toona (sic) fish."

Others were more skeptical and said the shadow could be a different animal.

The picture appears to have something under the breaking wave only five metres from the shore.

There you'll find a shadow in the shape of a shark.
