CURLING your eyelashes can instantly upgrade your look and transform your face.
But if you're not prepping your eyelash curler before using it, you're missing out on some lasting power.
UK-based YouTuber Helin Doski shared her three-step routine for fabulous lashes.
"You don't need to do that much," she says. "I can't believe people really don't be knowing this."
She pulls out her Shiseido eyelash curler, $23, which she says is her favorite.
"This trick is gonna keep your lashes curled for as long as possible," she says.
First, she says: "We're gonna heat up our lash curler.
"Think of it like you're straightening your hair or curling your hair. Always use a hot tool. That hot tool is what keeps your hair in that position."
She points her blowdryer directly at the curler for a few seconds and warns viewers not to make it too hot.
While the heat gives the curler staying power, Helin also has a method for making sure all of your lashes get perfectly curled in the first place.

She urges viewers to curl at the root, explaining that too many people just plop the curler on at any point, crimping their lashes in the middle and missing out on impact.
Then she explains how to get in not just the fullest lashes in the middle, but the ones at either end.
Helin – who also went viral for her trick for making foundation transfer-proof – carefully places her lashes in the curler but leaves it open.
Then, she then uses her index finger to lift her lid up, which creates more of an arc along her lash line so that all of the lashes get inside the curler.

With her index finger in place, she uses her pink finger to push up the lashes on the outer ends of her lash line, then looks outward to move her inner lashes into the curler.
Finally, she finishes off with Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, though she says any favorite mascara will do.
