102-year-old woman reveals the VERY surprising secret behind her longevity

  • Elinor Campbell Feihel, 102, has credited her youthful attitude to alcohol
  • The Columbus-based woman admitted that she had a ‘whole bar’ at her house
  • She drinks a glass of vodka, whiskey, or bourbon every night

A 102-year-old woman has revealed her rather unique secret to living a long life and remaining positive – and her advice is more simple than you may think.

Elinor Campbell Feihel is from Columbus, Ohio, and has credited her youthful attitude and longevity not to healthy living or a rigorous wellness regimen, but rather to alcohol.

The 102-year-old even keeps a ‘whole bar’ at her house to keep, which she said keeps her feeling younger than she ever has.

She relies on a glass of whiskey, vodka, brandy, or bourbon every night to keep her feeling decades younger.

In an interview with WSYX, the 102-year-old said she had a ‘whole bar’ at her house.

She confessed that her advice to those who want to live long is to drink.

‘I drink a little. I have a whole bar. Every other night I do vodka, but the other nights I do brandy, bourbon, Irish whiskey, and honey whiskey,’ Elinor told the outlet.

And Elinor impressively keeps a smile on her face every day, adding that she stays positive by going with the flow.

She said: ‘I don’t plan ahead. This is one day at a time.’

Elinor was born in 1921 – the Roaring Twenties – and grew up during the Great Depression, which helped teach her the true meaning of hard work.

‘I learned from the Depression. It did not victimize me. It was good for me. I was about to be a princess, and princesses don’t have a good life,’ she added.

She became known for her sassy attitude and is even still compared to Sophia on the TV show The Golden Girls due to her quips.

‘Pretty often and my daughter has to keep kicking me in the shins,’ she said.

Now, she has nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, whom she stays in contact with by sending letters.

‘I’m in touch with a lot of people, a lot of people. I send out 130 to 150 Christmas cards. I’m good for something. Not just taking up space,’ she said.

In addition to gushing over her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Elinor also loves actor Tom Selleck from the series Bluebloods, joking that the two have ‘dates’ every weekend.

‘Tom Selleck and I have lunch every Saturday because he’s on Friday night,’ the 102-year-old said.
