Alison Hammond has shared a glimpse at her prep for the BAFTAs, ahead of co-hosting the biggest night in British film alongside Richard E. Grant.
The TV legend stayed overnight at the Savoy Hotel in London before waking up at the crack of dawn to meet her glam team.
Telling fans that it feels "like Christmas," Alison admitted she's nervous about hosting and even took her script to bed as she shared a series of snaps from behind the scenes on her Instagram.
Sitting in her PJs in her hotel room, she said: “Morning everyone, it’s a really special day today because it’s the BAFTAs. Believe it or not, my day starts this early, it’s 7.12AM.
She continued: “I’m at the savoy hotel absolutely loving it, I’m very excited. You know when you feel like it’s Christmas? That’s what it feels like!
“I slept with my script, nobody in my bed, just me. I’m really excited. I’m off to the Royal FestivalHhall to go and get ready. Can you believe I’m actually getting ready this early?”
She later shared a picture of the view from her dressing room, which overlooks the London Eye and the River Thames, and thanked her 1.2million followers for their ‘beautiful messages’, saying she feels ‘so blessed’.
In another video, Alison revealed the impressive spread of snacks in her dressing room.
She joked: “So I’m in my dressing room, these are all the snacks I won’t eat. Apart from the quavers and the french fries, and the Haribo, and the bananas, and the Kit Kats.”
She then panned around the room, introducing her fans to her squad of people helping her get ready for the day, saying: “This is the lovely Stevie, she does all my outfits. Look at my beautiful bra – that’s a see through one! What kind of woman do you think I am Stevie?!
She continued: “My clothes are being ironed over there, and then we’ve got a lovely sofa here! And then I’ve got this little gem here, he’s going to make this [face]…something special. Let’s have a look at the make-up…do I really need all of this?”
Make-up artist Mikey Philips then joked: “We basically use every single item on this table… for a real natural look.”
Alison howled ‘natural look" and then revealed her packed schedule for the day, which included more than 35 tasks to do before the show starts.
Alison, who recently revealed she’s in a secret relationship with a landscape gardener, looked stunning as she then made her way to the stage to meet her co-host Richard E Grant.
As she walked with about ‘126 people in her entourage,' Alison had some last minute touch-ups to her flawless makeup before showing off her black sequin ballgown, saying: “I’m loving this! The dress is amazing, how amazing is this dress?”
