Forget the neck — in my 70s, I feel bad about my chin

Q I’m fit, healthy and happy at 74, but I’m noticing slackening around my chin. Can you recommend a ‘pick-me-up’, non-surgical procedure to tone and tighten the area?

A There’s a really interesting new ‘skin booster’ called Juvenus. It’s a liquid gel based on polynucleotides, which are peptide-like molecules that bind water to them and act like very powerful antioxidants. It’ll be injected into the target area (expect eight jabs for the chin!) to do a number of things.

‘Skin will be deeply hydrated long-term, and fibroblasts, which make collagen and elastin, are regenerated, restoring skin density and elasticity and tightening pores,’ says Professor Syed Haq of 10 Harley Street (tenharley street.co.uk), who specialises in the treatment.

You’ll need two to three £250 sessions, two to four weeks apart, from which you’ll emerge with two days of lumpy ‘bee-stings’.

But skin will be noticeably bouncier, more radiant and more toned. Results will actually improve over several weeks and last six to nine months.

It’s a very safe ‘skin health’ procedure that won’t puff your face up like filler, but will give it a real rejuvenating boost to suit your positive disposition.
