Argos shoppers rush to buy 'great picture' 50-inch TV scanning for £349 instead of £399 | The Sun

ARGOS has launched an eye-catching early Black Friday deal on a 4K smart TV from Samsung.

Shoppers are currently rushing to pick up the 50-inch Samsung AU7020 television from £349, down from £399 – and this is the lowest it will get for Black Friday.

Argoshas this marked as 'Selling fast!', with 18 units being sold in the time since we first noticed the deal.

Clearly, it's proving a massive hit with deals-hunters who aren't willing to wait for 24th November for the biggest sale of the year.

If you're wondering why you're looking at a Black Friday deal already, when the sales day doesn't fall until the end of the month – well, you're not the only one.

Currys Black Friday 2023: what to expect this November

Argos and a host of other retailers like John Lewis and Boots have stunned shoppers by launching their sales at the beginning of November.

We've scrolled the Argos website and we're pretty confident that there will be further waves of deals to come – but the store is offering a 'Prime Promise' on this big-name 50-inch TV, meaning it won't fall any lower before 1st January next year.

So if you're thinking of upsizing your TV and making that long-overdue leap to 4K and you want to buy from one of the biggest brands on the market, this is definitely a deal worth consideration.

It's kind of incredible to think a 50-inch television, considered gigantic just a handful of years ago, is now a mid-size TV.

It's one that's a solid choice for moderate-size viewing spaces: to find out more, read our what size TV should I buy explainer. (We never advise you just buy a big TV for the sake of it, tempting as it might be during the sales.)

The 4K-quality visuals are pretty much a given at this size of TV – alongside that you've got Samsung's hugely respected Tizen smart platform, which has earned accolades across the industry.

This super-smooth UI gives you flawless and intuitive access to Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and every other last app and platform you'd expect.

On top of that, the AU7020 has built-in voice control: you can use either Alexa, Google Assistant or Samsung's Bixby to operate your telly without any button-tapping.

At a time when we're due to see a lot of TV deals, and plenty from obscure-sounding brands, this is an assuring-looking early deal from a big-name.

The Samsung UE50 currently has an average rating of 4 out of 5 on the Argos site, with one buyer writing: 'Good sound, great picture, great price. Nuff said.'

It's one of a number of tech devices and appliance Black Friday deals Argos released yesterday – like we say, we expect to see many more in the weeks to come.
