Bargain shop popping up on high streets that's cheaper than B&M and Poundland – with prices starting at just 50p | The Sun

A HIGH street shop that you've probably never heard of can beat the prices at most retailers – including B&M and Poundland.

Flying Tiger has dozens of bargains including homeware, toys and games, electronics and sports equipment.

It was founded in Copenhagen in Denmark in 1988 by husband and wife duo Lennart and Suz Lajboschitz.

The retailer now has 842 stores across 27 countries – including 102 in the UK.

Flying Tiger's website says it sells an array of products including "things you need, things you dream of and things you didn’t know existed."

This means if you're looking to big up something practical for your home, or a gift for someone, Flying Tiger is the place to look.

Rescue hope for bust Wilko as ‘rival discount retailers express interest’

I’m officially Wilko’s biggest fan – I can’t even think about shopping at rivals

And the good news is, making a purchase won't break the bank.

At a time when we are all looking to save cash wherever we can and prices are continuing to shoot up – we'll grab discounts where we can.

While most of the retailer's offerings are for sale online, prices could differ slightly in store.

But with hundreds of products available, it means there's likely something for everyone.

Among the bargains up for grabs is an adjustable pet collar for just £2, while a similar one at B&M will cost you £7.

Flying Tiger also sells a range of household essentials, including a £10 make-up organiser.

The chest-of-drawers is great for make-up and other small items.

A similar organiser from fellow Scandinavian retailer Ikea will set you back £13.

If you're already thinking about back to school, you can also pick up some great stationary bits.

A ballpoint ben with a pom pom decoration costs just 50p, but if you want something more practical, you can get an A4 exercise book for £2.

But not everything will be cheaper than other stores, we found it was similar on price for some items with stores such as The Range and B&M.

This is why it is good to shop around to make sure that you are getting the best deal.

If you're looking for some more deals with prices starting at just £1, why not try high street stores like Poundland or Poundstretcher.

There are other websites too like PoundShop.com and 5poundstuff.com.

It's always important to check out how much other retailers are selling a product for instead of diving into the first offer you see.

You can use the Google Shopping tab to trawl the internet to find out how much it is being sold for elsewhere.

Meanwhile, websites like trolley.co.uk let you compare thousands of products based on their online prices.

But bear in mind that means you might not make the same savings as buying in-store.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you're ordering online.

We have also revealed a bargain supermarket you’ve never heard of owned by B&M that’s cheaper than Tesco and Asda.

And there is a little-known shop where you can get popular brands such as Doritos and Heinz for as little as 95p.
