BBC Strictly’s Amanda Abbington’s children including daughter dating Emma Bunton’s son

Amanda Abbington has been a regular on our TV screens for many years, having starred in hit shows such as Sherlock and Mr Selfridge, and she most recently swapped acting for sequins on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 49 year old, who has quit Strictly due to medical reasons, even found love thanks to her acting skills, having met ex partner Martin Freeman on the set of the film Men Only in 2000.

Amanda and Martin, 52, were together for 16 years but never tied the knot. The couple welcomed two children together; daughter Grace, 15, and son Joe, 17.

Grace and Joe have occasionally accompanied their famous parents to red carpe events over recent years. The attended the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One premier in London with mum Amanda in June, after joining dad Martin and his partner Rachel Mariam at the premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever last year.

17 year old Joe has even kickstarted his own acting career over recent months. Earlier this year, it was announced that he would be starring in a teen production of Everybody's Talking about Jamie in Tunbridge Wells.

It's unknown if Grace plans to follow in her brother's footsteps and head into the world of acting like her famous parents, but she did hit headlines earlier this year when it was revealed she's dating a fellow famous teenager.

The 15 year old is dating Beau Bunton-Jones, 16, the son of Spice Girls star Emma Bunton and her husband Jade Jones. Beau shared a loved-up photo of the pair together on Instagram in August before switching his account to private.

Amanda and Martin dated from 2000 until 2016 and now co-parent Joe and Grace, with Martin previously admitting that it can be difficult being away from his children.

He told Radio Times: "Me and their mum don't live together so there are times where they're inevitably going to not be with you, or when they say, 'Maybe not this weekend'. It's hard not to feel hurt when they start doing things that don't involve you, even though you understand it and welcome it because it's totally natural."

He and Amanda initially didn't tell anyone about their split as they were still working on Sherlock together and it took a while to sort out living arrangements.

Opening up about her split, Amanda, 51, told The Sunday Times Magazine,: ”When we broke up nobody knew, we didn't tell anybody except for a few key people because they had to know, because of the logistics of hotels and stuff. It took six months for it to get out and a lot of that was while we were working on Sherlock…

"We were professional and we were going to get on and make a show and be civil to each other."

She added: "We still get on really well, we still really both admire each other as actors… he's a great guy, but we just couldn't live with each other anymore."
