Wedding cake might have been a sweeter treat.

Casey Affleck and his girlfriend, Caylee Cowan, were busy bees over the weekend — doing everything except attend his brother Ben and Jennifer Lopez’s wedding in Georgia.

The “Manchester by the Sea” star and Cowan were seen grabbing ice cream at Van Leeuwen in Los Feliz Saturday while the “Argo” actor and “Waiting for Tonight” singer tied the knot, according to photos obtained by TMZ.

Earlier in the day, 47-year-old Casey also made a Starbucks run where he told paparazzi that he had “other things” to do than travel to the South. It turns out, those “things” were grabbing some cones and taking his son Atticus to soccer practice.

In a since-deleted comment underneath Casey’s Instagram tribute to Bennifer 2.0, Cowan gave the Boston native’s true plans away.

“Hey, if you weren’t in town Saturday to take Atty to soccer practice then who would’ve helped the kid who broke his arm?” she wrote.

“You’re a good man. I love you.”

On Monday, Casey seemingly hinted that his son Indiana was gearing up to depart for college.

“You are ready for this,” Casey wrote in an emotional caption alongside a photo of the pair playing in the water when Indiana was a tot. “You are uniquely wonderful, full of integrity, courage, and kindness. You will be an improvement to the land of ‘grownups.’

“And if you go out into the world with curious amazement and sincere gratitude, the world will (eventually) meet you with the same,” he continued.
