Co-op and B&M to close more stores this week – full list of locations

Co-op and B&M are among a handful of British retailers that will lose brick-and-mortar sites this week.

It comes after months of scheduled closures to reduce store portfolios of brands across the UK.

Home and garden brand B&M has already bid farewell to a string of branches this year as part of their strategy to relocate to new sites.

Customers have seen at least seven shops disappear from high streets and retail parks across England and Wales, with two more to go this week.

The Kiln Lane branch in Reading will shut its doors for good on Saturday, August 19 followed by the Glasgow Forge store on Sunday, August 20.

Shoppers will however still be able to take advantage B&M’s expansive range of bargain-buys at the larger site nearby in Brunel Retail Park from Saturday, August 26.

The new 22,000 square foot store will be complete with a large garden centre and open its doors from 8am.

Unlike some retailers who have reduced standalone stores to cut costs, B&M has already opened half a dozen new sites for customers.
