Gareth Pierce has played the long running character, Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street since 2020, and since joining the cast, has seen himself at the centre of multiple storylines.
Most recently, the son of veteran character, Eileen Grimshaw, has had strained relations with her partner, George Shuttleworth after the two used to work together at Shuttleworth's funeral parlour.
Viewers will know that the tensions were caused by Todd's ambitions as a funeral director – he was nominated for the Young Funeral Director of the Year award – and believed he deserved a pay rise. Of course, fans will know that George – the owner of the funeral directors – was reluctant to up his wage.
Todd was then poached by rival funeral parlour RestEasy, but over the last couple of months, has been regretting his decision to jump ship.
However, it now seems like Todd and George are set to be reunited, with Gareth's character admitting he's not happy at RestEasy, and revealing he would like to return to Shuttleworth's.
Away from the cobbles, Gareth's life seems to be a lot less dramatic, with him regularly posting snaps of him and his family on the gram. Plus, of him enjoying life with his fellow Corrie pals both on and off set…
Gareth has other TV credits to his name
As well as Corrie, Gareth has starred in a slew of other TV shows over the years.
From Mr Selfridge, Ordinary Lies, Hollyoaks, and Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited, where he narrated all 11 episodes, Gareth's CV is pretty impressive.
Originally from Wales, the actor also has credits in plenty of Welsh series, too.
Gareth is a family man
Gareth married his wife Amy Lee Pierce in 2014, and the pair now reside in Manchester with their daughter.
Thanks to his Instagram, fans can see that the actor is quite the family man, as he often posts pictures of his personal life to his grid.
For the sake of his family's privacy, Gareth opts to not show their faces – especially his young daughter – however, it's clear that the two share a great bond.
Most recently, Gareth shared snaps of them out for an autumnal Sunday walk, plus a trip to Camp Bestival festival.
Gareth's young daughter was clearly enjoying herself, as she dressed up in glittery festival attire and just generally had a great time.
