Spot the signs! Three red flags of dating

  • Love bombing
  • Selective listening
  • Monopolizing your social time

Sabrina captioned the video: ‘Three red flags to look out for in early dating.’

‘Here are three red flags to look out for in the very early stages of dating – first one or two dates,’ she said at the beginning of the video.

The first sign things may go south is when one or both parties start to over-idealize the situation.

She noted that if someone is too into you in the beginning of the relationship, they may be ‘love bombing’ you.

Sabrina added that someone can’t get to know you at that level within one or two dates, so you shouldn’t fall for it.

She suggested that you set boundaries and ask your crush to slow things down if they start doing this to you.

‘Number two, monopolizing your social time. Again, I get it, it’s so exciting when you meet somebody you really like, you’re like, “Oh my God, I want to spend all my time with them.”‘

The dating coach noted that this is a bad tactic because you need to ‘live your own life.’

She added that if someone is attempting to ‘alienate you from your friends or spend all of their time with you, it can be a sign of possessiveness.’

The third flag Sabrina detailed was selective listening.

‘They remember specific things that you said about things that pertain to them, but when it comes to your boundaries and non-negotiables, they just seem to have forgotten,’ she explained.

She noted that it shows this person is self-centered.
