Dating expert: These are the two different types of ‘nice guys’ you’ll come across in relationships – but only one gets the girl
- Louanne Ward said there are men who are nice because they want to be
- Then there are men who are nice because they feel they have to be
A dating expert has shared the two different types of ‘nice guy’ a woman will come across when she’s dating, and why one will ‘always get the girl over the other’.
Louanne Ward, from Perth, said there is a huge difference between a man who is ‘nice because he wants to be’ and a man who is ‘nice because he feels he has to be’.
The one who is nice ‘because he wants to be’ will always end up getting the woman that he wants.
‘There are two types of nice guys: One always gets the girl, the other doesn’t,’ Louanne captioned a new clip.

According to the matchmaker, a man who is nice because he wants to be is always going to be a catch.
‘He has confidence, he’s a nice guy who treats women well. He has respect,’ Louanne said.
This type of man will typically ‘plan great dates’ and will come across as charming and well-mannered.
But, importantly, Louanne said he has the ‘expectation of reciprocity’.
‘He has the ability to get up and walk away. He’s not going to sit there and put up with a woman’s BS,’ she said.

On the other hand, you have the type of man who is being nice because he ‘feels he has to be’.
‘This type of man is often subjugated by a woman, it doesn’t matter how she treats him, it doesn’t matter whether she does anything back in return,’ Louanne said.
‘He’s planning great dates and he’s making an effort and she’s treating him like a doormat, this guy doesn’t have the balls to get up and walk away.’
The dating expert said that being a nice man and a good human ‘because you choose to be’ will always be the sort of man that a ‘woman would want to date’.
‘But being a doormat and putting yourself below and choosing to stay in a situation and not having the strength to consider yourself and put yourself in a high enough standard where you have an expectation of reciprocity, that’s not what being a nice guy is about.’
She added that it’s important to ‘be nice to yourself first, treat women well and treat yourself well; if you’re not getting anything back in return, that woman isn’t worth spending time with’.
