Ready for a long Easter weekend? Whatever you have planned for the bank holidays, here are the opening times for every supermarket if you need to pop to the shops for a last-minute item, or to do a big shop ahead of an Easter feast with family and friends.
Aldi
Aldi’s opening hours may vary depending on store location, across the Easter weekend. But for the majority, the supermarket will be open 8am-10pm on Good Friday, April 7.
On Saturday, stores will operate between 8am and 10pm, but on Easter Sunday, Aldi will be closed.
On Monday 10 April, shoppers can buy items between 8am and 8pm.
Asda
With over 630 stores nationwide, Asda’s opening times can vary, but for Easter weekend, here are when the shops are open.
On Good Friday and Saturday, Asda will be open between 7am and 10pm.
In line with other supermarkets, Asda will give staff the day off on Sunday 9 April, meaning all of their larger stores will shut.
On Easter Monday, Asda’s branches will open between the hours of 7am and 8pm, with normal store hours resuming on Tuesday.
Co-op
Co-op has said: “During bank holidays and special times of the year some of our stores may open later and close earlier than normal.”
The corner shop advises customers to check their local Co-op food store for specific opening hours this weekend.
Lidl
Opening times for Lidl today will vary with some branches being open from 7am until as late as 11pm, and others being open from 8am to 8pm.
Tomorrow, most branches will resume their usual opening hours, but on Sunday, all Lidl supermarkets will be closed. The exception is Scotland where some branches will remain open.
Easter Monday, stores will open from 7am and close at 11pm.

Morrisons
Morrison’s stores are operating between 7am and 10pm today, and the usual store opening hours are for Saturday.
On Easter Sunday, Morrisons in England and Wales will be shut, but stores in Scotland will remain open as normal, and smaller Morrisons convenience stores are said to be open on Easter Sunday.
On Easter Monday, Morrisons customers can shop between 7am and 8pm.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s stores are expected to be open as normal today, but opening times can vary depending on location.
For larger stores, opening times are usually 7am-11pm.
Tomorrow, Sainsbury’s stores will operate as normal, but Easter Sunday, all big supermarkets will be closed. Some Sainsbury’s Local stores will also close to give staff the day off.
On Easter Monday, Sainsbury’s will reopen with larger stores open from 8am to 8pm, and Local stores, times vary.
Tesco
On Good Friday, most Tesco stores have opened at 6am, but this depends on the size of the store and location.
On Saturday, Tesco appears to be open during its usual weekend hours (6am to midnight). Express and Superstores across England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be closed on Easter Sunday, reopening at 8am on Easter Monday until 6pm.
Marks and Spencer Food
All M&S Foodhalls will be open today, Saturday and Easter Monday, but closed on Easter Sunday like other stores.

Waitrose
Today, most Waitrose shops will be open from 8am to 8pm with some Little Waitrose shops opening 6am-midnight.
All Waitrose shops will be open as usual on Saturday 8 April and most Waitrose shops in England, Scotland and Wales will close on Easter Sunday (9 April) with the following exceptions:
