Weddings can be stressful, especially when it comes to dealing with guests and suppliers.

But one thing for sure is that no one should wear white unless they're the bride.

Sadly that wasn't the case for a mum who thought it would be appropriate to don a white frock to her son's nuptials.

The woman tried to sell the dress which had been worn once for a short time.

It was described as a white lace gown and the "mother of the groom dress".

A screenshot of the advert was shared on Reddit where users were left fuming by the outfit.

The caption read: "Found one in the wild, lads. Worn. That poor bride…"

Along the photos of the gown was the description: "Mother of groom dress. Perfect condition only worn for few hours."

It featured a top and thick straps, as well as a stunning lace trim on the train.

Fellow Reddit users were quick to share their thoughts on the outfit – and some weren't good.

One said: "I would NEVER try to show up a bride or even wear anything close to the dress the bride wears.

"This is a great occasion to get a freaking beautiful ball gown or something you can get more use out of. Crazy lady."

Another added: "When I first looked at the picture I thought: 'Why are we shaming this? That's a lovely wedding dress'.

"Then I read 'mother of the groom dress'. That is so inappropriate to wear to your son's wedding."
