A gushing post praising the Duke of Sussex for his ‘courage, honesty and humor’ following the release of his explosive memoir has been shared on the Duke and Duchess’ official website Archewell.
Prince Harry’s biography Spare went on sale officially around the world yesterday, while the royal took part in a series of bombshell interviews during a PR blitz for the tome.
Meanwhile a post was shared on the Duke and Duchess’ website Archewell, where they share news about recent charity work as well as having information about their production company and podcast series.
The statement was accompanied by a photograph of the jacket cover, along with the words: ‘Congratulations Prince Harry.

‘A huge congratulations to Prince Harry on the release of his memoir, Spare.
‘As your team, we are proud to stand beside you, and celebrate you as the world finally hears your story in your words.
‘Thank you for your courage, honesty, humor, and light. You’ve inspired us all.’
It was signed off: ‘With admiration, Your staff and team at Archewell and The Private Office of The Duke & Duchess of Sussex.’
In the rare update to the site, the post offered a congratulatory message to Prince Harry and praised his ‘courage, honesty and humor’
It was a rare update for the site, which saw it’s last post almost a month ago on 19 December and bears no mention of the Duke and Duchess’ explosive Netflix series.
It also did not promote the Live to Lead Netflix series, which was listed as being made by New Zealand-based production company Blackwell & Ruth in association with the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Sussexes’ production company, Archewell.
In December, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lost two more members of staff from their organisation – their thirteenth and fourteenth in just a few years.
Rebecca Sananes quit as head of audio at Archewell after just 18 months in the role, according to the Daily Telegraph and US gossip website Page Six.
The Duke last night finished off his PR blitz by appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
She was hired to produce Meghan Markle’s Spotify podcast, Archetypes, in July 2021, but was then replaced by media executive Serena Regan. It has not yet been decided whether a second series of Archetypes will be commissioned.
Mrs Sananes is the latest in a string of senior women to have left Archewell.
Mandana Dayani recently quit as president and will not be replaced. Catherine St Laurent joined Archewell as director in April 2020 but left after a year.
And Toya Holness, their global secretary who joined in October 2020, left in May 2021.
An Archewell spokesman said of Mrs Dayani departure: ‘Her transition was mutually planned, with intent for the Duke and Duchess to now take full lead of their company.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex lost a key aide at the end of last year, The Mail on Sunday revealed (Pictured: Meghan with former Archewell president Mandana Dayani)
‘There will be no replacement, and Mrs Dayani is fully supportive of the Duke and Duchess in their new leadership roles.’
The latest update on the Archewell site comes as Prince Harry sensationally accused the monarchy of trying to ‘undermine’ his explosive memoir Spare because its controversial contents have ‘perhaps made them feel uncomfortable and scared.’
The 38-year-old held nothing back as he took aim at his family during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, where he lurched between hurling more barbs at his family and making light-hearted jokes including about his ‘frost-nipped’ genitals while swigging a glass of tequila.
Harry also took part in a skit with Tom Hanks and clinked glasses with Colbert as he praised America as a ‘great place to live’ and said how much he loves ‘beautiful California’, sparking cheers from the audience. He whipped up the crowd on several occasions, offering them all some tequila and talking about his Army career, asking: ‘Are there any veterans in the house?’
One of the more serious moments during the lengthy sit-down saw Harry rounding on his relatives over the backlash to his memoir, with Colbert questioning whether he believes the royals have an ‘active campaign to undermine this book’.
‘Of course,’ the duke responded – adding that ‘the British Press’ has also been complicit in the ‘campaign’, with Colbert chiming in: ‘But aided and abetted by the Palace.’
‘Again of course,’ Harry confirmed. ‘But this is the other side of the story, right? After 38 years, they have told their side of the story. This is the other side of the story.’
The father-of-two then suggested that what he perceives as the royals’ ‘campaign’ against his memoir has come as a result of them being ‘uncomfortable and scared’ over its contents.
‘There is a lot in there that, perhaps, makes people feel uncomfortable and scared,’ he continued.
