Over half of people who change jobs in January move into an entirely new industry, so start by working out where else you’d like to work.

2. List your transferable skills

What skills does your current role involve that you can use elsewhere?

Customer service, teamwork, leadership, problem solving, budget management, project management and creative thinking are in demand across almost every job.

Update your LinkedIn and Social Media

These platforms are your ‘shop window’ to potential employers, so show who you are and what you can do.
