A former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner has revealed that she moved into the Playboy Mansion only a week after he treated her to a first date on a private jet.
Cristal Camden had been working as a banker when she was introduced to Hefner by one of the entrepreneur’s associates at a nightclub in Los Angeles.
Now working as a model, Cristal became close to the Playboy mogul during his later years, and was even invited to his funeral after visiting the 91 year-old a couple of weeks before he died in 2017.

Fellow playmates Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt invited Cristal to describe how she had become a part of Hefner’s luxurious lifestyle on their Girls Next Level podcast.
Explaining how she had met Hefner in a club, Cristal recalled: “He called me personally the next day, and he says, ‘I want to ask you out on a date’… I’m like 21 years old and I’m talking to Hugh Hefner on the phone, and I’m just in shock.”
A renowned womaniser, Hefner lived surrounded by younger models in his LA home, and Cristal remembered how the tycoon had been keen to remind her that she wouldn’t be his only love interest.
“He’s like, ‘just so you know, I do have it with six or seven other girlfriends, so it’s not going to be a really monogamous date in that sense’… He was like, ‘it’s not going to be just you and I, I just wanted to make sure that you know that’,” she explained.
And, once Cristal had agreed to this, she was invited to join Hefner’s jet-setting lifestyle.
“Our first date was, do you remember when we took the plane to the Superbowl in San Diego?,” she said.
“It was a crazy experience to walk into, because we had the plane, the private jet, a police escort, and then we go to this crazy nightclub and there were bunnies walking around, and all the playmates were coming up and saying hi.”

Despite feeling overwhelmed by the experience, Cristal quickly decided that she liked the lifestyle on offer with Hefner and followed Holly’s lead by moving in with the mogul almost immediately.
Asked to give an estimate of how quickly she had been invited to become a permanent fixture at the LA Mansion, Cristal guessed: “It was probably about a week or two, it was pretty fast.”
