A thrifty woman has revealed how she has created a show-stopping Pick n Mix themed Christmas tree for only £30.

Earlier this week, Michelle Jollands, from the UK, shared a clip on TikTok showing off her Christmas tree – adorned with copies of the UK’s favourite supermarket sweets.

The clip reveals the multi-coloured 7ft tree, adorned with fake Fruit Salads, Black Jacks, Love Hearts and Hubba Bubbas, in all its glory.

After she shared the clip to her 5,900 followers, viewers were in awe of her creation and marvelled at Michelle’s creativity.

The treats, which include Love Hearts and Fruit Salads, are not edible, but certainly add character to the glamorous pink tree.

Decorations included sweet wrappers, glittery gummy bears, oversized liquorice all-sorts and big chocolate M&Ms.

Jelly beans, mini bubblegum machines, giant love hearts and a mammoth Hubba Bubba cake also featured.

Michelle claims the magnificent tree only took 90 minutes to construct. However, she says it took four hours to clean up afterwards.

Michelle added a special touch this year – placing a bubblegum machine as the ‘star on top’.

Surprisingly, the cost of the decorations came up to around only £30 – and the majority of the items are cardboard and foam clay mixed with acrylic paints.

Posting on Facebook, the thrifty woman explained: ‘The large & small gummy bears are polystyrene which I painted with acrylic paint.

‘90% of the decorations are cardboard & foam clay mixed with acrylic paints. decorations, total cost for all decorations was around £30 & lots of crafting fun.’

Users were super impressed by Michelle’s thriftiness – with one commenting: ‘Wow just wow.’
