‘I share body positive pics as example to my son – I want him to value realness’

Iskra Lawrence is known for being one of the most popular body positive models around.

Since becoming a mum, the blonde beauty says she has more fire in her belly to share self-love snaps. The 33-year-old, from Worcester, welcomed her son with partner Philip Payne back in 2020.

And she says she wants him to see "realistic, imperfectly perfect and diverse representation". Now the model discussed issues in a caption shared alongside some snaps of herself wearing black lingerie from brand Lounge Underwear.

The stunning photos saw Iskra flaunt her natural, unedited curves while staring straight down the camera lens, before pulling some elaborate poses.

Captioning the photos, the mum said: "I want to raise my son in a world where he sees realistic, imperfectly perfect and diverse representation. Where he values his body, mind and spirit without comparison and objectification. And the words he hears me speak to myself are loving and kind because that’s how I encourage him to do the same.

"He will see me find the parts of myself I once thought were flaws and embrace them. Because our bodies are a gift and we are all works of art in all our unique forms. Nature does not create duplicates for a reason."

Fans were loving the post, with it racking up more than 55,000 likes. "He’s lucky to have you as his mum to show him the beauty in diverse loving bodies," exclaimed one follower. While another added: "What a gift to give a child. You are amazing mama."

A third chimed in: "You are exactly what social media needs more of. Keeping glowing in your beauty," while a fourth agreed: "I love what you stand for."

Iskra hasn't revealed the name of her three-year-old son as of yet, however, she does talk about him in the media. The mum recently said back in March that she spoke to her son about consent after two boys spanked him on the bottom.

In a Get Ready With Me video, the model explained: "We tend to go to Chick-Fil-A's on Monday after my little one has gymnastics. So I let him go off and play and I'm sat watching close enough to see everything and he's having a really fun time.'

However, she said things soon took a turn as there were three older boys in there who began by playing tag with her son, which then turned into hitting. After realising what was happenings he ran in to stop them at the exact moment she saw two of the boys spanking his bottom.

The model said she was unsure if she had done the right thing as she told her son: "You have to let people know it's not okay to touch your body," before removing him.
