A WOMAN has become a millionaire overnight after taking a chance and buying a Lucky Dip ticket.

The life-changing win came after the fortunate punter forked out just £2 on the random selection of National Lottery numbers.

Choosing to remain anonymous, the Aberdeenshire woman has shared what she plans to splash her cash on.

With the eye-watering windfall, the May 31 draw winner is going to treat her family, perhaps on a luxury summer vacation or a new fancy motor.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Huge congratulations to this woman for winning this fantastic prize.

"She has become a millionaire overnight and can look forward to making a million new memories with her windfall.”

This comes as one couple were overjoyed when they took home a £1million jackpot – before tragedy struck.

Grandfather Mark Francis, 49, was watching daytime TV when he saw an email saying he'd won the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker in January 2022.

But tragedy struck when Helen was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine checkup shortly after their win.

Luckily, she is now celebrating her first year cancer free – and is looking forward to their wedding.

Meanwhile, another £1million jackpot winner claimed to still travel using budget airlines and be a proud B&M shopper.

Jane Park  scooped the sum and became the UK’s youngest Lotto winner at just 17. 

In a recent update. the 27-year-old shared that instead of jetting off to a fancy, luxury resort and rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, she soaked up the sun in Benidorm for her friend’s hen do. 

This comes as the National Lottery has desperately urged Set For Life players to check their tickets as three winners are sitting on life-changing sums.

The deadline to claim the prize worth £360,000 falls on July 8 after the winning tickets were bought on January 9 in County Durham.
