IKEA, Amazon and TK Maxx urgently recall products due to safety fears – see the full list | The Sun

BIG retail brands Ikea, Amazon TK Maxx and others have urgently recalled products over safety fears.

The Office for Product Safety & Standards issued an urgent recall of the various products following concerns they were harmful to users.

We've got the full list below of all the products being recalled.

But shoppers who have purchased any of these items should immediately stop using them.

The retailer should give you a full refund or issue you with an updated safer option.

Amazon – children's life jacket

The Office for Product Safety & Standards said this Amazon item "presents a serious risk of drowning".

It is a children's blue life jacket with a yellow inside and down the right-hand side are the words "life jacket".

The model number is 150N and the batch number is 2022022207.

You should be able to find this someone on the product, or on the packaging.

The product has now been removed from the Amazon website but if you have bought it do not use.

You should be able to get a full refund from Amazon by contacting its customer service team via your account.

We've asked Amazon when this product was first sold and when it was recalled and will update the piece as soon as we know more.

An Amazon spokesperson said: “The product flagged was removed from sale immediately and all impacted customers are being contacted and advised to return the item for a full refund.”

Ikea – swivel chair

Furniture giant Ikea has recalled the Odger swivel office chair in anthracite colour.

Ikea received reports of the chairs breaking at the base of the leg, posing a risk to the user.

The retailer has said all goods with date stamps before and including 2221 (which you can find underneath the seat) should be returned.

If you've bought this product, stop using it and take it back if you can – you won't need a receipt of proof of purchase.

Ikea will give you a full refund.

TK Maxx – Dune head and heals boots

TK Maxx has recalled two pairs of Dune's boots.

According to the TK Maxx website, the items have been recalled following a manufacturing fault which means some pairs may contain exposed nail.

The goods were on sale online and in stores in October 2022.

The product codes are 328003, 328047, 328050, 328070, 328100 and 817084.

If you have these items, do not wear them and return them to a TK Maxx store for a full refund.

TK Maxx – L(A)b Cryo Belt

TK Maxx is also recalling a L(A)B Cryo Belt over fears the product could cause an electric shock.

This is because the plug and power supply do not meet the required safety standards.

It was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between October and November 2022.

It came in white packaging marked "L(A)B" and with a black charger marked with the model number BX-1208300.

If you bought this product, stop using it right away and return it to any TK Maxx or Home Sense store for a full refund.

eBay – Lectron Mode 2 EV Portable charging cable

Online sales site eBay has also recalled a item.

The Lectron Mode 2 EV portable charging cable has been recalled over electric shock concerns.

The item is a black cable with a cream handle.

Its item number is 265388626064.

If you have purchased this then stop using it – eBay has now removed the listing.

We've asked eBay for confirmation but it should provide you with a full refund.

Just contact the customer service team via your account.

Wish – School Bus Busy Board

The Office for Product Safety & Standards has also recalled this children's toy from Wish.

The school bus busy board has been remover over choking fears.

If you've purchased this item then stop using it immediately – the item code is 6186204f0d9d03b03a82e7c1.

The product is a multi-coloured activity board in the design of a school bus that includes a variety of straps, zips, buttons and fasteners.

Wish has now removed the product.

We've asked Wish if it'll provide customers with a full refund and are waiting to hear back.

But contact the customer service team via your account.

TK Maxx also recalled two electric products sold in stores across Ireland just days before Christmas.

The Beauty Electric 3D Shaping Massage Roller and the Elgetec Professional Curling Wand Irons 6-in-1 were pulled from the shelves over electric shock fears.

And more recently, popular retailer The North Face warned that their Teens' Oversized Hoodie – which was sold in various colours – has drawstrings with free ends which "could lead to strangulation".

Anyone who purchased the product is warned to stop using it immediately and asked to return it to the shop they bought it from for a full refund.

It was available for sale in Ireland since July this year and approximately 68 products were sold here, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission said.
