Dream Team brings you all the latest injury, suspension and selection updates ahead of Game Week 2 in one easily digestible dose.
The issue of Cristiano Ronaldo’s (£6.3m) status in the pecking order under Erik ten Hag remains one of great interest.
When asked about the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Man United’s new gaffer told reporters: “He had a good training week. The starting XI, we will see tomorrow. I, of course, have made my decision but I [will] keep it.”
Ten Hag also confirmed that Anthony Martial (£3m) and Victor Lindelof (£2m) remain sidelined and won’t travel to Brentford this weekend.
Meanwhile, the Bees’ new Danish midfielder, Mikkel Damsgaard (£2.5m), is ‘not ready’ to start but may be named on the bench.
Marcos Alonso (£4m) and Mateo Kovacic (£2.5m) are Chelsea’s only absentees for Sunday’s most-anticipated fixture.
The former is not training while he tries to finalise a transfer away from Stamford Bridge while the latter is yet to recover from injury.
As for Spurs, Clement Lenglet (£2.9m) has a ‘little problem’ with his adductor and will miss the London derby while Oliver Skipp (£1.5m) is still approximately two weeks away from a full recovery.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Thiago Alcantara (£2.4m) will be out for ‘four to six weeks’ following his premature withdrawal from Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Fulham last weekend.
However, the German tactician revealed that Naby Keita (£2m) and Kostas Tsimikas (£3m) are likely to be available for selection against Crystal Palace.
Diogo Jota (£4.5m) still needs more time.
From the Eagles’ perspective, Michael Olise (£2.5m) has trained with his team-mates all week and therefore has a good chance of being involved in some capacity at Anfield on Monday night.
Brendan Rodgers was unable to give a timescale on Harvey Barnes’ (£4m) recovery but was happy to confirm Leicester had no other fresh injury concerns ahead of his side’s trip to Arsenal.
He also stated his belief that Wesley Fofana (£3m) would remain a King Power resident at least until January after the Foxes recently rejected two bids for the 21-year-old centre-back.
Leeds’ bench is unlikely to feature as many youngsters as it did in Game Week 1 with senior players Adam Forshaw (£1.5m), Luis Sinisterra (£2.5m) and Liam Cooper (£2m) all eligible for selection.
Dan James (£2m) is also available for the Whites’ trip to Southampton having completed his suspension that carried over from last season.
