WhileBrooklyn Beckham’s parents David and Victoria have an estimated fortune of £380 million, that is nothing compared to the money his wife Nicola Peltz’s family have thanks to her billionaire businessman father.
Bates Motel actress Nicola is the daughter of American businessman Nelson Peltz, 80, who is reportedly worth four times the amount the Beckhams are, with an estimated wealth of £1.7 billion.
Nelson Peltz, a native New Yorker born to a Jewish family in Brooklyn, is ranked by Forbes as the 1996th richest person in the world today. A self-made billionaire, Nelson dropped out of college in 1963 and worked his way up his family’s food business, A. Peltz & Sons, founded by his grandfather Adolph in 1896.
Starting off as a driver, he would deliver fresh produce to New York restaurants. He later steered the company towards frozen food and bought several other food companies.
In 1983 he bought a stake in Triangle Industries, which later became one of the largest packing companies in the world, with Nelson later selling his share for a staggering £701 million.
In 2005 the businessman founded Trian Fund Management, an investment firm he still owns today. The business has stakes in companies like Heinz, Cadbury and Tiffany & Co, and has $8.5 billion in assets under management.
The American investor is also a non-executive chairman of US fast food chain Wendy’s, multinational corporation Sysco and sports business The Madison Square Garden Company.
The tycoon is a long-term supporter of Donald Trump, having been neighbours for decades in Florida, even hosting a $590,000 (£470,000)-per-couple fundraiser for the US President.
Peltz said previously: “His policies, to me, are the right policies for America. We have exported tens of millions of jobs — of manufacturing jobs over the last 40, 50 years, pick whatever time frame you want.
“We exported them generously. We gave them to Europe, we gave them to Asia. Now it’s time to bring those jobs back.”
However after the Capitol Hill riots he told CNBC that he was "sorry" he voted for Trump in 2020.
Nelson is married to former fashion model Claudia Heffner Peltz, who he shares eight children with including daughter Nicola. Nelson was previously married to Cynthia Peltz, who he wed in 1964, with whom he shares two children.
Thanks to their father's impressive fortune, the Peltz family live a life of luxury with multiple properties across America, including a swanky pad in Bedford, New York, and a £78 million beach house in Miami.
The 44,000 square foot Bedford mansion, named Montsorrel, has 27 bedrooms and is surrounded by sprawling grounds and stunning gardens. The businessman fought, and lost, a five-year battle with his neighbours after they objected to the noise of him commuting to his downtown New York office via helicopter in the nineties.
Unsurprisingly, aprenup was drawn upto protect the £380 million fortune of Brooklyn's parents along with the staggering estimated £1.3 billion wealth of Nicola's father in the run up to their wedding in 2022.
