'It’s not Christmas without it' cry McDonald’s fans after realising iconic festive item has been axed from menus | The Sun

THE McDonald's festive menu lands in restaurants tomorrow but some fans have been left devastated and say there's an item missing.

Maccies revealed its new menu last week and it includes five new items, like the Big and Cheesy burger and Galaxy Caramel Pie.

There are five brand-new items in total and two returning favourites.

Among these are sweet treats and the Chicken Big Mac.

It comes as part of McDonald's regular menu switch-up which often sees a host of new snacks and meals added.

But hungry diners have taken to social media to ask "where is the Celebrations McFlurry?!".

It's made of soft dairy ice cream, Malteser clusters, Galaxy chocolate drops, caramel pieces, Mars chewy pieces, Twix biscuits and milk chocolate sauce.

One sweet-toothed Facebook user said: "Where's the Celebrations McFlurry?! It's not Christmas without it!"

And one disappointed fan wrote: "That's a bummer they always do celebrations."

Maccies fans looking for a sweet treat will instead be able to tuck into either the Galaxy Caramel Pie, or the Galaxy Caramel or Chocolate McFlurrys.

Although, other customers have also expressed their dismay at the Fetsive Pie also missing from this year's offering.

The new menu items will be added to all UK and Ireland menus from November 22.

Here's the full list of items on the McDonald's winter menu and their prices:

  • The Big & Cheesy £5.49 – (single) / £7.29 (meal)
  • The Big & Cheesy with Bacon £6.29 – (single) / £8.09 (meal)

Fancy giving these items a go? You'll need to be quick as they're only sticking around for six weeks until January 3.

If you're unsure what to try, we gave them a taste test so you don't have to.

Elsewhere, the Halloween menu which has been available since the end of October is being axed to make way for the new items.

This has led many fans to call on McDonald's to make a burger permanent.

McDonald's new menu follows the launch of McDonald’s Festive Wins promotion, which kicked off on November 1 and ends next week.

It gives fans the chance to bag offers and prizes each day of November including Big Macs and cash.

It offers 17 chances to grab your favourite menu items for as little as 99p, all available exclusively on the McDonald’s UK App.

How do I find my nearest McDonald's?

If you're planning on taking a trip to McDonald's, you'll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald's serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.

How can I save on my McDonald's order?

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald's.

You should choose your branch wisely – menu prices can vary across different restaurants just a couple of miles apart.

We've seen Big Mac meals up to 30p cheaper before, which added up over the course of a year could save you a fair few pounds.

You can also get freebies on your birthday if you've got the My McDonald's app.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise, you'll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you'll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.

A 12-digit code will be printed on the proof of purchase and then you can enter the McDonald's Food for Thought website to fill out a quick survey.
